Greyhound, male, date of birth 27.08.2022. He is black in colour with a small white flash on his chest and he is large in size. He has been signed over to the care of RDR following his retirement from racing and is now ready to find a loving forever home.

Tex is a friendly, gentle lad with a lovely temperament. He is clean in his kennel, walks well on the lead, knows his basic commands, travels well in the car and sleeps happily in his kennel at night.

He can be left for reasonable periods without becoming destructive and has lived alongside other Greyhounds, so could potentially live with another compatible Greyhound following successful introductions.

Although Greyhounds are known for their incredible speed, they are actually one of the most relaxed and easy-going breeds. Often described as '45mph couch potatoes', they are happiest enjoying a couple of gentle walks each day before spending the rest of their time snoozing on a comfy bed. They are affectionate, quiet dogs who thrive on companionship and make wonderful family pets.

Like most Greyhounds, Tex enjoys a gentle walk before settling down for a snooze on a comfortable bed. He is an affectionate, easy-going lad who will make a wonderful companion for the right family.

* We will not rehome to families with children under the age of 10 years.

* We do like to confirm the landlord has given permission if you do not own your own property.

* You must have a secure garden.

* No cats for this dog.

* Any existing dogs in the family must be neutered/spayed.

* Families must live within an approximate 100 mile radius of our base in Rochdale/Manchester.

We also do not rehome where the dogs are left for long periods each day, this may vary from dog to dog with regards to how long they can be left but any detail about hours and routines is useful for us.

All our animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea & worm treated before homing unless too young or upon advice from our vet/s.
