Jack is a black and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier, male. DOB 30.06.2026. He has has been signed over to the care of RDR due to a change in his owners circumstances. He is now looking for a loving forever home.

Jack is a confident little puppy who has settled very quickly into his foster home and is already enjoying the company of his foster carer's resident dogs. He has fitted into their routine beautifully and is proving to be a happy, affectionate and very clever little boy.

Although Jack is only a tiny baby, he is already showing that he is a quick learner. He knows his own name and recognises "good boy", happily wagging his tail and coming over when called. He absolutely loves people and wants to give them as many kisses and cuddles as they can handle!

Jack is already making good progress with his toilet training. Although puppy pads are available around the house, he is actually preferring to go outside into the garden to do his business. He is offered regular opportunities to go outside, particularly after meals and drinks, and is learning to come back inside and wait for his treat.

Jack currently lives with two cats in his foster home and is also living happily alongside his foster carer's resident dogs.

He arrived with his bed and some teething toys, and his favourite is currently his koala teddy. Jack is happy to take himself off for some quiet time and enjoys settling in his bed or in his crate when he wants to rest.

Like any young puppy, Jack can become a little giddy when he is tired and can be nippy or jumpy. His foster carer is helping him learn to settle and redirecting him onto appropriate teething toys — although her shoelaces are currently proving particularly tempting!

Jack is very food orientated and has been introduced to a slow feeder after he was found to be eating his meals quite greedily and developing hiccups. He is learning to take his time and enjoy his food.

Jack is also settling beautifully at night. He sleeps beside his foster carer's bed and, on his first night upstairs, slept from 10:30pm until 5am when he barked to let her know he needed to go outside. Once he had done his business, he settled straight back down in his bed.

Jack is doing brilliantly in foster care and is already showing lots of lovely qualities. He is a confident, affectionate and clever little puppy who is enjoying learning about the world around him and will make a wonderful companion for the right family.

Before completing the form please check the following criteria as you will not get a response if the criteria is not met:

• We will not rehome to families with children under the age of 10 years.

• We do like to confirm the landlord has given permission if you do not own your own property.

• You must have a secure garden.

• Any existing dogs in the family must be neutered/spayed.

• Families must live within an approximate 100 mile radius of our base in Rochdale/Manchester.

We also do not rehome where the dogs are left for long periods each day. This may vary from dog to dog with regards to how long they can be left, but any detail about hours and routines is useful for us.

Adoption Application Form

All our animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea & worm treated before homing unless too young or upon advice from our vet/s.

Jack is currently too young to be neutered and will return to our vet at a suitable age. His neutering appointment will be arranged before his adoption and all neutering costs will be covered by Rochdale Dog Rescue.

Jack came into our care on Wednesday 9th September 2026 and is now looking for the loving forever home that he truly deserves.
